Back and Biceps, Skipped Ab Ripper X
Well I’ve lost a week to injury. I’ve been to 5 physical therapy visits for my SI joint problem since my last workout. It’s really annoying when it’s out of alignment and if left that way it really does a number on all of my core and especially lower back muscles. Pretty debilitating. Anyway, I’m feeling better and slowly easing back into things. I’m avoiding Plyometrics (too jarring) and I have to avoid most of the Ab workout as well for now. I’m performing core exercises as instructed in my PT sessions and continuing any P90X workout that doesn’t hurt. The diet is going well for the moment.

My son has been suffering with and SI joint problem for 18 mos, does anyone know a Physical Therapist in the San Francisco of Santa Rosa area that does specifically joint manipulation? He has been unable to sit and can only lay down or stand.
Peggy,
I’m sorry to hear your son is having SI joint problems. I’m in Arkansas so I can’t help you with a PT in San Fransisco. I CAN tell you what I learned in my physical therapy sessions. Once the muscles in my lower back loosened up (they used some ultra-sound and massage) and I was able to resume light workouts, my therapist had me doing alot of core strengthening exercises. I’ve been without any problems since then (knock on wood) and hope to remain that way.
It can be frustrating since the SI joint problem masks itself as lower back pain. I thought I was throwing my back out when it would happen.
